BetMGM Casino review:
the numbers we refused to print

Inside a licensed state the lobby covers the standard three floors: slots in bulk, virtual table games, and a live dealer section streamed from studio floors. BetMGM's slot shelf leans on brand-exclusive jackpot games seeded across its casino states, which is the closest thing the US market has to a house specialty. We don't print game counts we haven't crawled ourselves, and lobbies differ by state anyway: the New Jersey shelf is not the West Virginia shelf.

On a small screen the lobby follows the pattern of most US casino products, a vertically scrolling rail of categories with search one tap deep. The casino is a separate app from BetMGM's sportsbook, which we count in its favor. Combined apps bury the casino behind betting navigation; a dedicated download keeps the path from home screen to game short. On mobile data, fewer taps also means fewer reloads of heavy lobby artwork.

The measurable facts: the iOS app is a 164.5MB download requiring iOS 16.0 or newer, mid-pack among the US apps in our index: lighter than DraftKings at 195.4MB and roughly half of Caesars' 319.1MB. Store averages sit at 4.7 on the App Store and 4.8 on Google Play. Those ratings are player sentiment rather than our measurement, but across our whole index the US state-licensed apps rate higher than most UK equivalents, and BetMGM sits comfortably in that band.

The browser lobby is the gap. Because the site geofences hard, our throttled-4G runs recorded only a thin placeholder page, and we chose not to publish a load time or first-load weight for it. Treat the NOT MEASURABLE label in our table as exactly that: unmeasured, not bad. Inside a licensed state you will see the full lobby; from where we measure, nobody can, and pretending otherwise is how review sites end up printing fiction.

The cashier follows the standard US pattern: debit cards, ACH through online banking, PayPal, and Play+ prepaid cards. Credit cards technically appear at many US cashiers, but issuing banks decline gambling-coded transactions often enough that we treat debit and ACH as the dependable rails.
